Deliberate Assembly | A Field Study is an exploration into the movement of our surroundings. The abstract works of Field Studies are derived from the mappings and collection of marks from a series of blind contour studies of the crepe myrtles that line the artists’ front garden. The movements showcase themselves through the gestural marks of the blind contour drawings, void of the usual curatorial decisions, and allowed to build naturally, elapsing into a gestural landscape of time + change.
